The real extras
Interisland freight, housing for key trades, a local inspector relationship, and a superintendent who is not trying to run the job from a group chat.
A material that is sitting in a Maui yard is not on the other island. That sentence has to be on the schedule.
- Permits. Each county is its own office. Do not copy a Maui packet and hope.
- Crew. Flights and rooms are cost. Budget them or the job will.
- Warranty. Who shows up in month eight? Name that person now.
When we say no
If the owner wants mainland pricing with island logistics, we decline. Honesty is cheaper than a failed opening.
If we take the work, you get the same license — BC 269830 — and a written logistics plan, not a shrug.
Water between job sites is not a detail. It is the job.
